BGCFDL Expands Mental Health Programs

The Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac is expanding its mental health programs with the addition of a social emotional learning coordinator position. Lizzi Teletzke (pictured right in the photo above) has been selected to take on this new role working alongside Aly Sanders, the Club’s director of social emotional learning. Teletzke is a recent graduate of Marian University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. She has been working at the Club for five years and has held many positions within the organization, most recently the teen center site coordinator. Teletzke was also awarded the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac’s Staff Excellence Award in 2021. She enjoys the opportunity to provide youth a safe space to build healthy connections with themselves and their peers.

“I am excited to begin my role as the social emotional learning coordinator. Our SEL program helps youth develop important skills such as emotional regulation, decision making, and self-awareness. Social emotional learning is vital to support academic achievement and positive behaviors inside and outside of the classroom. By adding my new position to the program, we will be able to implement more one on one and small group programming to reach more youth in our community. My goal is to help bridge the gap from school to home and foster positive youth development in our Club. I am excited to take the next step within the Club and continue my work here professionally,” said Teletzke.
