Teen Program Update

Before our Boys & Girls Club programs were shut down due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in Wisconsin, our Teen Center was full of fun spring activities! Teens were participating in exciting programs such as Volleyball, SMART Girls, Youth of the Year, Career Launch and Photography Club. With that said, we are trying our absolute best to virtually navigate these challenging times and find new, innovative ways to help our teens succeed not only academically, but in all aspects of their growth and development.

We are currently offering a variety of online enrichment activities in conjunction with our Art, STEM, Girls Group (SMART Girls) and Career Launch programs. To learn more about these programs and get connected with us while you’re at home, check out our interactive Google site.

Additionally, we are in the midst of our annual Youth of the Year application process and competition to select a winner for the 2020-21 school year. Youth of the Year is a competition awarding a Club member with one of the highest honors that can be earned at the Club. This achievement opens the door to many opportunities, including a chance to meet new people throughout the community and even at the state level. For more information about how to get involved with Youth of the Year, check out this special message on our Instagram page from Director of Teen Services, Mr. Dillon and Healthy Lifestyles Coordinator, Mr. Eric!

As we continue into spring, our planning for summer programs is still in full swing and we are hoping to start on time in mid-June as scheduled. The Teen Center will have plenty of fun activities and programs happening this summer including another exciting trip to Washington D.C.! Stay tuned as we are continuously planning with the hopes of being able to open our doors again to welcome kids back into the building. We hope to see everyone soon!
