School Year Program Kick-Off Highlights

We kicked off our school year program with a super September! And because it also happens to be Superhero month, our Club members and staff at all of our sites did a lot of cool activities that involved dressing up like their favorite Superheroes. They even created their very own Superheroes to celebrate the start of a SUPER great school year!

On top of the Superhero theme this month, Pier Club members took time to spruce up the Pier Elementary School garden by doing some rock painting! Chegwin Club members have also started their Book Club and our organization continues to be so thankful for the First Book grant we received last year, allowing us to purchase great books for our kids as well as multiple copies for our classes to read together!

To round out our program highlights for September, the Teen Center decided to spread some positivity around the building by creating some signs with positive, social emotional messages as part of a Club Climate activity. Some of our teens even decided to cut out hearts to hang from windows inside of the building so people passing by could also experience the positive vibes! We are so happy to be open and serving our youth, AND our community!
