Reach for the Stars Soars to New Heights
The 17th annual Reach for the Stars Dinner & Auction took place on February 21, 2025 and was an incredible evening for our Boys & Girls Club. Presented by Grande Cheese and Mercury Marine, along with numerous sponsorships from local businesses and individuals, Reach for the Stars raised over $165,000 in support of our Club’s summer youth programs. A significant portion of the proceeds raised through the event stemmed from the “Sponsor a Child” summer scholarship promotion which raised over $39,000! This helps to ensure that ALL youth are able to access our summer programs.
Highlights of the evening consisted of an inspiring speech delivered by our 2024-25 Youth of the Year, Jeannie Aufdenkamp, a surprise visit from a group of our Club youth who assisted with serving desserts to event guests, and a special summer program video presentation during the “Sponsor a Child” portion of the event. The evening wrapped up with a jaw-dropping performance by Tom Kennedy – The OTHER Mentalist, who left our guests wondering “what the heck just happened?!”
Reach for the Stars included an online silent auction and an exciting raffle for a chance to win a “Door County Experience” package, won by Linda Selk-Yerges! Event attendees enjoyed a complimentary glass of champagne upon their arrival courtesy of Honey Bee Mobile Bar Service, and also had the opportunity to participate in our exclusive Dessert Auction.
Our entire Boys & Girls Club family would like to thank everyone who made this year’s event possible, especially our event sponsors and auction contributors, as well as our partners at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center for their hospitality.
