The 18th annual Reach for the Stars Dinner & Auction took place on February 27, 2026 and was an extraordinary evening for our Boys & Girls Club. Presented by Grande Cheese and Mercury Marine, along with numerous sponsorships from local businesses and individuals, Reach for the Stars raised over $185,000 in support of our Club’s summer youth programs. A significant portion of the proceeds raised through the event stemmed from the “Sponsor a Child” summer scholarship promotion which raised over $51,000! This helps to ensure that ALL youth are able to access our summer programs.
Highlights of the evening consisted of an Art Gallery Walk featuring creative masterpieces based on the theme “I Am Me Because of BGC” (inspired by Club Alum and now BGC Board Secretary Brittany Lynch) from 11 of our Teen Club members , a moving speech delivered by our 2026 Youth of the Year, Soraya Rose, and a special visual presentation during the “Sponsor a Child” portion of the event, helping us far exceed our goal.
The evening wrapped up with a mind-blowing performance delivered by award-winning magician Daniel Martin, which we have no doubt will be talked about with smiles and laughter for a long time!

Event attendees also enjoyed a complimentary glass of champagne upon their arrival courtesy of Honey Bee Mobile Beverage & Soda Bar and had the opportunity to participate in our exclusive Dessert Auction.
