October 2022 Face of Great Futures

Kameel is 7 years old and currently a 2nd grader at Pier Elementary School. This is his second year attending Club and he enjoys it because “we can go outside, do fun projects like melty beads and shrinky dinks on ‘Fun Friday’, and sometimes we even get to have ‘Fun Thursday’!” Kameel stated that he likes to play sports, do cartwheels, and is interested in practicing karate. When asked what he would like to be when he grows up, Kameel shared that he would like to become a police officer with the K-9 Unit.

Kameel stated that his favorite subject in school is reading while his least favorite subject is math. He shared that he feels really proud about being a good friend to others and added that he has three really good friends at school who also like sports just like he does. Kameel’s favorite sport is basketball, but he and his friends also have a lot of fun playing other sports together, such as soccer which he is really good at!

The best thing that’s ever happened to Kameel was going to Xtreme Air trampoline park where he did his very first cartwheels. If he could go anywhere in the world, Kameel would visit Mexico “because on hot days, they give out ice cream! It’s also warm there and people speak Spanish which is awesome!” When asked to share something important that he’s learned in life thus far, Kameel stated “It’s important to know how to do the fire drill, which they teach us at school.”

Kameel lives in Fond du Lac with his mom, mom’s boyfriend, one older sister, three younger sisters (one is his twin sister; he is 20 minutes older than her!), and a younger brother. He stated that if he had three wishes, he would 1) go to space, 2) have his own airplane , and 3) have a private jet (goes faster than an airplane). Kameel’s favorite food is supreme pizza, his favorite colors are red and yellow, and his advice for younger Club kids is to “try to be a little quieter when they are being too loud and others are asking nicely for them to please quiet down.”

FUN FACT: Kameel can do a front flip! He added that he once tried to do a backflip and landed on his head, so he’s going to stick to doing front flips!
