Holiday Gratitude from Us to You

As we wrap up the holiday season and head into the New Year, our Boys & Girls Club leadership team would like to take a moment to celebrate YOU…our wonderful community of caring individuals, businesses and organizations who have helped make 2023 another successful year! Today’s world is challenging for youth, so having support they can count on means everything. Because of YOUR support, we get to provide new opportunities to positively impact young lives every single day. As we reflect on the past 365 days, we continue to be incredibly grateful for all the moments and memories our Club youth have been given that will last a lifetime. We are excited for 2024, a new year that will be full of new memories and opportunities. Thank you for supporting our mission to do whatever it takes to ensure Great Futures for all kids!

Here are just a few examples of our community’s generosity throughout this holiday season:

‘Tis the season to help spread joy through our Adopt a Family program! This year, we had 50 adopters help 60 families resulting in gifts for 174 children. AMAZING! So many “thank you’s” were said, tears of joy shed, and families were simply in awe of all that was gifted to them. One parent of an adopted family stated, “Thank you very much for these blessings that you sent to my family, they are very special.” Thank you to ALL individuals, families, and businesses/organizations who donated to ensure our Club families have a magical Christmas!

We are always blown away by the generosity of our great friends at McNeilus Steel, Inc.! Each year, their employees choose a few different charities to support through the company’s Employee Charitable Contribution program. We know there are many organizations to choose from, and we are so grateful for their continued belief in our mission and vision for kids.

FUN FACT: On top of monetary support, they are also instrumental in the planning and success of our Spell for Great Futures event each year, and we celebrated the 10th anniversary of the team spelling bee back in October with a successful “Wizard of Oz” theme. We are so grateful for this partnership. Thank you McNeilus Steel!

Mercury Marine employees donated gifts for the Festival of Trees Fond du Lac event and chose our Boys & Girls Club as the recipient…THANK YOU! Special thanks to Nicki Villa and Tammy Witt for delivering!

FUN FACT: Mercury Marine is a proud Presenting Sponsor for our annual Reach for the Stars Dinner & Auction that takes place each February and this year we are celebrating the event’s “Sweet 16” anniversary! They have also been involved in the Fond du Lac Corporate Challenge for the past 16 years, which supports the Club and Y’s Family Strengthening events throughout the year. 

Thank you to the Professional Women’s Connection – Fond du Lac Chapter for generously donating items from our Wish List this holiday season. Many of these items fulfill basic needs for our youth and families, which is much appreciated!

The mission of the Professional Women’s Connection is to develop leadership qualities in women by providing networking and learning opportunities through the exchange of knowledge and experiences. The group strives to promote higher standards for and increase the status, authority and influence of all women at any level of their career by Inspiring, Mentoring, and Educating.

Thanks to the generosity of our local PetSmart store who donated over 400 stuffed animals, Club members got to “adopt a pet” to take home for the holidays! The kids had so much fun picking out and naming their new furry friends.
