BGC Board Engagement Teams Celebration

Our Boys & Girls Club staff held a family style dinner with Board members and their spouses in celebration of Board member participation in the program over the past school year. Our Board Engagement Teams (BET) began in 2018 and looks to engage Board members in activities at our program locations and beyond.

Hundreds of hours of experience have been completed by Board members in learning the needs of the students and staff at our program locations. Board members served meals, helped with homework, led scavenger hunts, played kickball, completed art and STEM projects and so much more. Experiences like these provide so much perspective for Board members as they make decisions in the boardroom.  

At the dinner, the Teen Center BET consisting of Jim Spannbauer, Brad Pachefsky, Holly Brenner, Scott Basler, Karissa Schneider, Dillon Wiese and Demond Mettlach (all pictured together at the 2021 Festival Foods Turkey Trot) took home the BET Award for completing the most activities this year. Thank you to all of our Board members who participated and we look forward to another great year starting in September!
