October 2025 Face of Great Futures

Izabella is 8 years old and currently in 3rd grade at Pier Elementary. She has been a Club member for two or three years and loves attending because of all the fun things she gets to learn! Izabella has been selected as our Face of Great Futures this month “because she’s been a GREAT Club member this year. She has led by example for members of all age groups. Izabella makes sure everyone feels they belong at Club as well as including her classmates in all projects,” stated Mr. Dave, Pier extension director. Let’s get to know Izabella! 

Why do you think kids come to Club? To meet new people.

Who do you live with? Mom, Dad, four brothers, two sisters and a German Shepherd named “Lily”. 

How do you like to spend your free time? Coloring!

What are you good at? Gymnastics.

What do you like most about yourself? I’m kind.

What makes you feel happy or proud? Seeing my family.

What’s your favorite thing to learn in school? Least favorite? Math is my favorite and recess is my least favorite.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Doctor.

Best thing that’s ever happened to you? Getting our dog.

Favorite place you’ve ever been? Trampoline park.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Mexico; I was born there!

Favorite food? Watermelon, because it tastes good.

Favorite color? Blue, because it’s nice and dark.

Most important thing you have learned so far in life? My family is very important.

Advice for younger Club kids? Listen, be good, and be kind.

If you had 3 wishes, what would they be? 1) To get another pet, 2) to meet my favorite character, and 3) to go on a vacation.

We love having Izabella as part of our Boys & Girls Club family and have no doubt she will grow up to do GREAT things!
