May 2023 Face of Great Futures

Carter is 10 years old and currently a 4th grader at Chegwin Elementary School. He has been a Club member for about three years and enjoys attending because he gets to see different friends and there are fun programs to participate in. Carter lives in Fond du Lac with his mom, dad, 11 year old sister, 8 year old sister, and 3 year old brother. He loves to spend his time talking with friends and playing games.

Carter describes himself as someone who has a “different style from everyone else” and shared that he is proud of himself for reading an entire book series called Danny Dragonbreath. He is also proud of the fact that he has a big collection of Pokemon cards. Carter stated that he is good at reading and math and added that his favorite subject in school is definitely math while his least favorite is science. Carter shared that while he’s not sure exactly what he would like to be when he grows up, he thinks being a math teacher would be a good job. He added that he really wants his career to involve math in some way.

Carter’s favorite place to be is his bed, because “it’s just really comfy!” The best place he’s ever visited is a big waterpark in Green Bay where his 30 year old sister lives with her husband. If he could go anywhere in the world, Carter would visit Hawaii because “it’s really hot and there’s a lot of stuff to do, like swim and go to the beach.” Carter’s favorite food is anything with rice and he shared that his mom cooks it with different foods like chicken and vegetables, and evens adds spices that always make it taste really good!

Carter’s favorite color is gray because “I have a lot of gray shirts, and it’s just kind of a unique, cool color.” His advice for younger kids is that “Club is a place you want to be because there are so many fun things to do!” When asked to share something important that he’s learned in life so far, Carter said “Social media can be a good, but also bad place because of scammers, hackers and inappropriate stuff, so you need to be really careful.” He stated that if he had three wishes, he would 1) win $10,000, 2) buy a new house, and 3) buy a new car.
