June 2025 Face of Great Futures
Jonah is going into 4th grade at Rosenow Elementary and attends our summer Club site at Pier Elementary. This is his third summer attending the Boys & Girls Club. Jonah has been selected as the Face of Great Futures because “he loves to participate in all of our sports activities and is a great friend to his peers,” stated Miss Kari, extension director. “He is a true leader!” Let’s get to know Jonah!
Why do you think kids come to the Boys & Girls Club? To have friends and make new friends.
Favorite thing about Club? Recess, because I like to play soccer, basketball, and baseball. I’m good at baseball!
Who do you live with? My mom, our cat Loki, and five fish.
How do you like to spend your free time? Playing with my cat, and playing with friends outside.
What do you like most about yourself? I’m pretty much a “natural” at almost everything; I’m also really good at math.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a professional baseball player and play in the outfield.
Best thing that’s ever happened to you? One time when I was playing baseball, I hit the ball really far into the outfield.
Favorite place you’ve ever been? Florida! I also had a great time going to Packer Family Night at Lambeau Field last year.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Somewhere near Mexico to see my grandpa.
Favorite food? Hot dogs.
Favorite color? Red, because it’s the color of the heart and love.
Most important thing you have learned so far in life? I have learned how to do things by myself and be independent. I can even cook eggs!
Advice for younger Club kids? Make sure to do good deeds.
If you had 3 wishes, what would they be? 1) To be able to teleport, 2) to fly, and 3) I wish everything was FREE.
We love being a part of Jonah’s summer Club experience, and we are excited to cheer him on as he grows and achieves GREAT things! For more information about our youth programs and how to sign up, visit our Become a Member page.
