January 2025 Face of Great Futures

Paisley is 10 years old and currently a 5th grader at Evans Elementary. She has been a Club member for the past 4 years, and loves attending because it’s fun, she gets help with homework, and meets new people! In addition to being our Face of Great Futures for the month of January, Paisley was also selected as a Youth of the Month winner at our Johnsonville site back in November (see photo below). She was recognized for modeling the Boys & Girl Club Value RESPONSIBILITY. Let’s get to know Paisley!

Who do you live with? My dad, stepmom, older brother, three younger sisters, and our two dogs. I also spend the weekends living with my mom, soon to be stepdad and stepsister, and one dog.

What is your favorite thing about Club? Going outside, field trips, and going swimming over at the Y!

How do you like to spend your free time? Go swimming, see my mom and grandma, read, and call or FaceTime with my friends.

What are you good at? Reading, swimming, taking care of kids/babies and people in general, like my grandma and cousins too.

What do you like most about yourself? My hair!

What’s your favorite thing to learn in school? Art and music.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Real estate agent! I want to sell houses and make a lot of money.

Best thing that’s ever happened to you? Having a baby sister, mostly when she was really tiny.

Favorite place you’ve ever been? My grandma’s house in Richmond, Virginia and Virginia Beach.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Disney World in Florida or Mexico.

Favorite food? Tamales; it’s a Mexican food that my stepmom makes with either chicken, beef or cheese.

Favorite color? Pink because my mom loves it, and teal because my auntie loves it.

Most important thing you have learned so far in life? To be grateful for what you have, because some people don’t have anything.

Advice for younger Club kids? Be kind, grateful, appreciative, thankful, and never give up!

If you had 3 wishes, what would they be? 1) To get three dogs when I’m older – I would name them Lucy, Coco, and Daisy, 2) to have a big house, and 3) to own my dad’s cleaning business someday.

We love having Paisley as part of our Boys & Girls Club family and look forward to being a part of her journey as she grows and does amazing things! For more information about our youth programs and how to sign up, visit our Become a Member page!
