Meet BGCFDL’s New Director of Workforce Development

Samantha Fabian has been selected to join the leadership team at the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac to take on the role of Director of Workforce Development. The organization is excited to start to grow its workforce development initiatives while continuing to provide the same great experiences that have already been offered, such as the Future Manufacturer’s program, Career Launch and work-based learning opportunities for teens. Moving forward, there will be a specific focus on four core areas: Career Exploration, Skill Development, Planning for the Future and Work Based Learning. Through implementation of these core areas, Club members will have opportunities to learn about different careers, receive guidance to develop the skills needed to be successful in a career, gain knowledge about different paths they can take post high school, and work directly with community partners to get started in their first jobs.

Fabian graduated from Marian University in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and will be receiving her master’s degree in social work in 2025 from the University of Oshkosh. Fabian looks forward to using her education to better understand youth and open their eyes to endless possibilities that cater to their unique personalities.

“I am so excited to take on the role as Director of Workforce Development here at the Club! I started working for the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac my sophomore year at Marian University, and what started as a part time job has developed into a passion for helping youth achieve their goals and empowering them to use their voices,” said Fabian. “Everyday I come to work, I am reminded why youth connections are so important. Sometimes it just takes one person to believe in a child and bring out their untapped potential. I am proud to say I am a part of a Club that stands alongside their youth to build them up. My goal in this role is to use youths’ creativity, skills and life experiences to provide them opportunities they may not have thought possible, even if it begins with them simply knowing I believe in their potential.”

The Club is looking forward to contributing to the great initiatives already happening in Fond du Lac as well as providing youth with another opportunity to grow and become successful members of the community.
