SPELL Levels Up for Academic Programs
The Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac held its 13th annual Spell for Great Futures team spelling bee on July 22, 2026. Business and community leaders were randomly teamed up with Club members to compete in this year’s Super Mario Bros. themed event. Presented by Society Insurance and coupled with other numerous sponsorships from local businesses and individuals, the event raised a record-breaking $46,150 to directly support the Club’s academic programs.
Friends and family of participants attended the event and were treated to a special introduction highlighting the 24 teams competing in the spelling bee, comprised of a total of 72 participants. Placing third in the spelling bee was Dr. Elizabeth Dodd (SSM Health), Alaya K. and Camden S. Coming in second place was Mike Anderson (Bristol Morgan Bank), Troy T. and Cristian P. And placing first as this year’s Championship team was Paul Reetz (Integrity Saw & Tool), Jeannie A. and Andrew R.
