Silica Turns Dock Spiders Stolen Bases Into $5,200 for Great Futures

The Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac is incredibly grateful for another season of an exciting community partnership with the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders and Silica For Your Home!

For the fourth consecutive season, Silica For Your Home pledged $50 to the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac for every stolen base by a Dock Spiders player at Herr-Baker Field. Throughout the 2026 season, Dock Spiders baserunners stole an impressive 104 bases at home, resulting in a $5,200 donation to support local youth.

The Dock Spiders stole 163 bases overall during the 2026 season—the second-highest total in team history, trailing only the 235 stolen bases recorded in 2021. But beyond the excitement on the field, every stolen base at Herr-Baker Field carried an even greater impact for kids in our community.

“We’re proud to continue our partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac and the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders for another season,” said Silica For Your Home President Josh Schneider. “Watching the Dock Spiders steal 104 bases at Herr-Baker Field and knowing each one contributed to a $50 donation made every stolen base even more meaningful. We’re excited that this year’s performance resulted in a donation to an organization that makes such a positive impact on local kids and families. We’re grateful to be part of a partnership that brings our community together and helps invest in the next generation.”

We couldn’t be more appreciative of Silica For Your Home’s continued generosity and commitment to our Club members.

“What an exciting year on the bases! We continue to be in awe of the athletic abilities of our Dock Spiders players, and the generosity of our donor partner, Silica For Your Home,” said Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac Chief Executive Officer Dan Hebel. “Each of the 104 stolen bases will have a meaningful impact on the well-being of our members. What an investment in the future of our community!”

Partnerships like this demonstrate the incredible impact that can happen when local businesses, community organizations and the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders come together in support of local youth. The $5,200 raised through this year’s program will help the Boys & Girls Club continue providing opportunities, resources and experiences that help young people learn, grow and build Great Futures.

Thank you to Silica For Your Home and the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders for helping every stolen base make a difference! We’re already looking forward to seeing where the next season takes us—both on the bases and in the lives of the young people we serve.
