May 2026 Face of Great Futures

Miles is 10 years old and finishing up 5th grade at Chegwin Elementary. He has been a Boys & Girls Club member since 1st grade and has been selected as our Face of Great Futures because “he is always very happy to be at Club and loves to promote all of the fun things the Club has to offer,” said Miss Kari, Chegwin extension director. Let’s get to know Miles!

Why do you think kids come to Club? To have fun.

Favorite thing about Club? The activities.

How do you like to spend your free time? Drawing and doing origami.

What do you like most about yourself? My creativity.

What makes you feel happy or proud? Reaching goals!

Favorite thing to learn in school? History.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Carpenter.

Best thing that’s ever happened to you? I went to Six Flags!

Favorite place you’ve ever been? Six Flags!

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Australia.

Favorite food? Sushi, because of the crab.

Favorite color? Grey.

Most important thing you have learned so far in life? It’s important to set goals for yourself and work to reach them.

Advice for younger Club kids? Don’t give up!

If you had 3 wishes, what would they be? 1) To have a 3D printer, 2) to be able to time travel, and 3) to have unlimited thread for the 3D printer.

We love having Miles as part of our Boys & Girls Club family and we’re excited to see all the GREAT things he will achieve as he enters his middle school years and starts to attend the Teen Center. Side Note: We have a 3D printer in the Teen Center and can’t wait to see what he creates with it!
