March 2026 Face of Great Futures

Apollo is 10 years old and currently a 4th grader at Rosenow Elementary who attends the Roberts Club site. Apollo was selected as this month’s Face of Great Futures because “he is so thoughtful and respectful of others, shows up as his best self, and does a good job making others feel like they belong,” stated Miss Anna, Roberts extension director. FUN FACT: Apollo was also selected as a Youth of the Month winner back in December (see photo below). He was recognized for modeling the Boys & Girl Club Value SAFETY. Let’s get to know Apollo!

How long have you been a Club member? 4 years!

Favorite thing about Club? Spending time in the gym playing basketball.

Who do you live with? My grandma and two brothers.

How do you like to spend your free time? Play video games, football, and outside activities.

What are you good at? Sports, math, reading, and video games.

What do you like most about yourself? My athleticism.

What makes you feel happy or proud? I’m good at basketball and other sports.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Professional football or basketball player.

Best thing that’s ever happened to you? When I made a half-court shot!

Favorite place you’ve ever been? My house.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? My house.

Favorite food? Lots of varieties of chicken, like fried chicken.

Favorite color? Black, because it’s a mix of everything.

Most important thing you have learned so far in life? You should NEVER give up!

Advice for younger Club kids? Do what you like, and be persistent.

If you had 3 wishes, what would they be? 1) To have super powers, like time manipulation, 2) to have more powers, like super speed, and 3) to have anything I want!
