September 2025 Face of Great Futures
Ariah is 8 years old and currently a 3rd grader at Rosenow Elementary who attends our Roberts Club site after school every day. “Ariah has been selected as our Face of Great Futures because she is very helpful, has a positive attitude and is always kind to others,” stated Miss Anna, Roberts extension director. Let’s get to know Ariah!
Do you have any nicknames? My cousin, aunt and grandparents call me “Riah”!
How long have you been a Club member? I started coming to Club last year, so this is my second year.
Why do you think kids come to Club? Because they like to see their friends, see the teachers, draw, and do melty beads.
Favorite thing about Club? Melty beads, rubber band bracelets, and beaded bracelets. I also love playing with my friends!
Who do you live with? I live with my mom, younger brother, and two cousins. We also have a goldfish named “Winnie the Pooh” and a 10 month old Schnauzer/Poodle (Schnoodle) puppy named “Shadow”.
How do you like to spend your free time? Drawing, making things with melty beads, making bracelets, playing with my baby doll’s hair, playing with Roblox, and doing fun things outside like gymnastics, playing kickball, and tag.
What are you good at? Melty beads and gymnastics.
What do you like most about yourself? The way I treat others and the way I listen.
What makes you feel happy or proud? Going to the Boys & Girls Club, seeing my teachers, and seeing my family.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to run track professionally, and be either a doctor or a nurse.
Best thing that’s ever happened to you? Staying at a hotel in Madison, because we could swim, eat breakfast, and play in the game room.
Favorite place you’ve ever been? Definitely the hotel in Madison!
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Houston, Texas because it’s hot there and it might be close enough to the ocean to maybe see the beach!
Favorite food? Seafood like crab, shrimp, and lobster tail; I also love chicken flavored noodles.
Favorite color? Blue, pink, purple, gold, silver, black, and white…in that order!
Most important thing you have learned so far in life? Treat everyone like you want to be treated, which is inspired by Rosa Parks.
Advice for younger Club kids? Be nice to others!
If you had 3 wishes, what would they be? 1) To have a cyber truck, 2) to run track professionally, and 3) to become a really good nurse.
We love being a part of Ariah’s journey, and we are excited to watch her grow and accomplish all her big goals in life! For more information about our youth programs and how to sign up, visit our Become a Member page!
