Josmar is 11 years old and currently a 5th grader at Chegwin Elementary. This is his first year attending the Boys & Girls Club. Let’s get to know Josmar!

Why do you think kids come to Club? For the good teachers and to play games.

Favorite thing about Club? Games in the gym.

Who do you live with? My mom, dad, and older brother.

How do you like to spend your free time? I like to play soccer, basketball, volleyball, and kickball.

What makes you feel happy or proud? Coming to the Club!

Favorite thing to learn in school? Writing, art, and reading.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Police officer.

Best thing that’s ever happened to you? I got to go to the beach.

Favorite place you’ve ever been? Mexico, and riding bikes to the park.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? New York.

Favorite food? Pizza!

Favorite color? Red.

Most important thing you have learned so far in life? My family is important.

Advice for younger Club kids? Pay attention in math, and focus in school.

If you had 3 wishes, what would they be? 1) To have a tablet 11, 2) to have new shoes, and 3) to have a lot of clothes.
