Season of Gratitude: Celebrating Generosity
As we close out the holiday season and look ahead to the New Year, all of us at the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac want to express our heartfelt gratitude to YOU—our amazing community of supporters. In a world that presents many challenges for youth, the support you provide means everything. Because of YOU, we’re able to create new opportunities that positively impact young lives every day. We’re incredibly thankful for the memories made in 2024 and excited for all that 2025 will bring. Thank you for helping us ensure Great Futures for all kids!
Here are just a few examples of our community’s generosity throughout this holiday season:
‘Tis the season to help spread joy through our Adopt a Family program! This year, we had 67 adopters help 79 families resulting in gifts for 220 children. INCREDIBLE! The quotes we shared in our holiday tree collage are just a few examples of the overwhelming gratitude we heard from so many individuals who were simply in awe of all that was gifted to them. Thank you to ALL individuals, families, and businesses/organizations who donated to ensure our Club families have a magical Christmas!
Special thanks to these local businesses and organizations for their generosity: Badger Liquor, Buechel Stone, The Charity Club, The Commonwealth Companies, Drexel Building Supply, FVSBank, Hospice Home of Hope, The Wellness Way Fond du Lac/Dynamic Chiropractic, Divine Savior, Eagles Past Presidents, Edward Jones – Chris Vitton, Edward Jones – Robert Cox, Holiday Automotive, Ideal Chiropractic & Therapeutic Massage, Mercury Marine, Fond du Lac Noon Optimists, Silica For Your Home, Soroptimist International-Fond du Lac, Stuart’s Landscaping & Garden Center, Target, Wabash, and Queen Sue’s Creations.
KleenMark had a team-building activity that involved assembling bikes for donation to kids in the communities they serve. They donated two bikes to youth at our Club. One bike went to elementary Club member Nick (pictured) and the other bike will go to one of our deserving teen Club members.
Thank you, KleenMark, for thinking of our kids and providing such a wonderful donation this holiday season!
Big THANK YOU to Fond du Lac Noon Kiwanis and the Fond du Lac Police Department for taking time to read with some of our elementary Club members as part of the Kiwanis ‘n Cops ‘n Kids Program! Our Club members were thrilled to be able to take home a brand new book to add to their own library. Special thanks to Thrivent for their support as well…their t-shirts (though difficult to see in the group photo) really are the BEST!!!
So thankful for this partnership!
Our Club members were able to celebrate #WorldKindnessDay by learning the impact even small acts of kindness can make, all with the help of SSM Health’s Kindness coloring book.
The book features SSM Health’s friendly mascot, Bearnard, to color along with pages of puzzles and games. Included throughout the book are suggested acts of kindness kids of any age can complete, like wearing a smile, helping a friend or writing a note to a teacher.
This project is part of SSM Health’s Year of Kindness campaign, which encourages everyone to spread kindness in everyday ways. The project was also featured as a Top Story by WeAreGreenBay.com. Thank you, SSM Health, for helping us celebrate kindness! Our partnership makes a difference for so many people in this community!
For the past few years, our local PetSmart store has generously donated hundreds of stuffed animals to our Boys & Girls Club. This year, we received around 500 total and Club members were able to “adopt a pet” to take home for the holidays! The kids always have so much fun picking out and naming their new furry friends. Thank you, PetSmart!
With that, we wish you ALL a very safe and Happy New Year!
